Christians and others: What would happen to your religion if Aliens suddenly showed up tomorrow?
If Aliens suddenly made their presence known, what would happen to Christianity and other religions? Your religions say that Humans and the Earth is Gods creation, but never talks about other planets and other races. Would your religion collapse?
If Aliens showed up tomorrow and say that for thousands of years of their existence they have never known a God and that your religions are nothing more than imagination, what would happen?
What would you say if they reveal that thousands of years ago they had contacts with humans and due to the absence of knowledge and technology our ancestors confused them with divine creatures?
What if, and this could be possible, all the stories told in the bible where Humans have contact with God is actually stories of Humans having contact with Aliens? Supposedly, Moses and the Israelites were given the arc of the covenant, and according to the stories this thing would act as a weapon, striking down the enemies and if someone who didn’t know how to touch it touched it their hair and nails would fall out and stuff like that. So what if this “Arc of the Covenant’ was actually some type of radioactive Machine given to Moses and his followers by this Aliens.
(Aliens exist, anybody that thinks otherwise is either dumb or doesn’t know much about it.)
Do you deny Aliens? Why? Is it for the sake of your religion? is it because you know that if they exist, which most likely they do, it will mean the end of your doctrine?
Even the Catholic church agrees of the possibility of Aliens, and they have people who study this type of stuff.
Did ya even read what I wrote down, plus just because we humans can’t space travel doesn’t mean that a civilization thousands of years more technological advance wouldn’t have figured it out.
Stop saying they would be Satan’s demons, realize that your God and Angels could actually be Aliens.

I’m just saying, and this could be possible, what if they thought it was God when they it was actually Aliens, ancient Humans wouldn’t have any idea that an Alien was among them due to the absence of technology, so what would their answer be to the creature that from the sky came, they would simply claim it to be God.
I’m not saying that the bible says It was Aliens, because obviously it doesn’t say that I’m just saying that instead of this stories describing god they are actually describing Aliens but who ever wrote them didn’t know they were aliens and said they were god and Angels, sorry if its confusing.

When they found out that, as intelligent, rational beings (as they would have to be if they made it here) they do not understand why anyone would believe in a fairy story with no proof, they would claim them to be the Devil’s Minions and try to kill them all.

I am pretty sure that if an advanced alien civilization showed up here, Theism would actually multiply beyond belief.
I didn’t read the question body but it wouldn’t change anything. I believe aliens exist. I believe there are small forms of life on a lot of planets. I don’t think that they’ll get here anytime soon though. From what I’ve studied you need so super fucking advanced technology to travel through space like it is portrayed in sci-fi that or you need to wrinkle space and time. But I honestly don’t think anyone, even if they’re more advanced than we are, have that.
We can see 300 billion (or is it million) light years around us. That’s a pin prick compared to the whole of space and we can’t even make it that far.
But if they did show up I would welcome them(assuming they’re peaceful) and try and get the world to do the same.
EDIT-Why do we automatically assume that something “strange or mystical” or something that we plain don’t know is more advanced? I honestly would assume that maybe some advancement but have you ever read anything on how complicated it would be to travel billions and billions of light years and still be alive by the time they got there? Also, just because they would be aliens doesn’t mean that they would live millions of years. Maybe aging difference but yeah. That’s my argument. I’ve looked all this stuff up. I believe that there are aliens. Just not in the Sci-Fi we’re so much better than you way.
I didn’t say they were immortal though. I’m just saying that the technology to travel space like we want to is really damn advanced. Yes, other civilizations on other planets could have it but it’s highly unlikely. You would literally have to wrinkle time OR put people into stasis and have an autopilot ship. Still, it’s a bit implausible to me. But to each their own.
Every religious group out there would just try to convert them. A few of the UFO cults would start jumping up and down and saying, “see? We told you God was an alien!” and still not get it. Scientology would immediately declare them as SPs and minions of Xenu. It would be fun to watch.

Anything that would manifest itself as an alien would be regarded as a demon by most Christians and would be rejected as evil.

A christian would deny that it was an alien, because the think aliens ‘unlikely’ to exist, as they are technicaly possilbe to exist in this world, but there is no proof. And insted they would say it was the devil or demons, something which is both impossible in this universe and there is no proof of, i believe chirstians are fine to keep there opinions to them selves but in reality they are just being foolish as wasting your life devoting to something which almost definately doesn’t exist is more stupid than saying if there is anything else in this universe, then we will wait till evidence before we act, and if god does exist but never interfers with our lives, then why worship him as he obviously doesn’t want us to know he exists or worship him otherwize he would get his ass down here and make a scene. What christians refuse to understand is athiests is that we are not anti-god, we just don’t think he exists, thats quite neutral.
