Conspiracy, forgery, receipt and possession of stolen goods. What kind of sentencing can be expected?
My niece has been charged with forgery, conspiracy, receipt and possession of stolen goods. We are in SC and this is her first offense. What kind of sentencing can she expect?

Why aren’t you asking her lawyer? And when you do, listen to everything he says, don’t just grab onto the best scenario that he constructs. Absorb the whole range that he says is possible.

That’s impossible to answer without more detail. What was the value on the goods and the forgeries? The conspiracy will probably be dropped if it’s in relation to the forgery. That just means she acted in conjunction with two or more people. Other sentencing factors depend on age, “gainfull” employment (you can’t say you’re “self-employed”), attitude, cooperation with the court and law enforcement, etc. She is probably looking at probation and a suspended sentence or a short stay in jail. She will get community service, a lengthy supervised probation, fine, restitution, some type of class or school to attend and other stipulations.
