Conspiracy Theorists: I have a friend who believes that the internet is controlled by the Illuminatti?
This friend of mine is quite an avid theorist and not only does he believe that the Illuminati (supposed shadow government) controls all aspects of the government, media and television, but he also believes that they somehow infiltrate the internet.
Now the whole internet theory is one that I haven’t heard of before and to be honest, it doesn’t make sense to me. I would like to hear the opinions of some Conspiracy Theorists on here about this.

well i will say this some internet searches are controlled by the government for example in china if you did a search for the guy in china that blocked the tank you will not find it because they have got yahoo and google to provide search blocks to things that the government does not want you to see ,this is not a conspiracy it is fact
just ask someone in china to do the search and ask them the results that come up ,but in the u.s. i do not believe this at all because most of what you search does come up

Generally, a ‘conspiracy theory’ is a theory you yourself don’t agree with.
FISA allows unconstitutional monitoring of the internet by government, and Obama is fighting to expand it and has appointed an ‘internet czar’ with no authority I can see in the Constitution at all.

So in theory yes a group could control all the content posted on the internet if they had millions of people scanning it 27/7/365 for content they did not want or if they had A.I.
