Do you believe “Planet X” or “Niburu” is in our solar system and will cause a cataclysm in 2012?

Question: Do you believe “Planet X” or “Niburu” is in our solar system and will cause a cataclysm in 2012?
Why do you believe it or why not?

Answer:

Answer by bikenbeer2000
Nibiru was predicted to appear in 2003. When it failed to do so, its followers merely decided to latch on to the Mayan Calendar 2012 nonsense and postponed its arrival until then (easy to do when you’re talking about an imaginary object). Back in May 2003, the time of its alleged closest approach to the Earth when it was supposed to cause Earth’s poles to flip over, its followers were still drawing attention to earthquakes and storms (events which take place all the time anyway) desperately trying to convince themselves that these were caused by Nibiru, despite the total absence of any such object in the skies. They will probably do the same in 2012. These people are fools. Don’t take any notice of them.

Your joking right? please tell me ur joking.

  2. yamini says:

Think it is all a hoax.

  3. Justin W says:

You don’t have to worry. The scientists don’t think the poles will be flipping for another 50 or so years. The side effect (Global warming) is still in it’s infant stages. And if you live on the east coast, the possibility of a mega tsunami wiping out all life on North America and South America’s eastern coast will kill you before the poles flip (25 to 45 years).

(As the magnetic field around the earth gets weaker due to the core in the earth slowing down, more UV radiation makes it past the magnetic field thus heating the earth. While green house gases reflect radiation back to the earth, they also reflect about 2 times the amount of radiation back to the sun before it strikes the earth.)

Do I believe in planet X.. or their mumbo jumbo, no. We would of found it’s orbit by now. But it is strange how they have more scientific proof to back their theories than the christians do to back the existence of Jehovah.

I have two problems believing this stuff.

    1. There is no planet X on collision course with Earth. It would be visible to telescopes all over the world and easily spotted already. We can find much smaller and much darker objects in about 60 times further distance than “Niburu” should be today.

    2. Nobody can tell me in physically reasonable terms, how it should cause a cataclysm. A cataclysm is any natural catastrophic event, which affects Earth as whole, initially it was just used for the deluge in the legend of Noah. There is no “The cataclysm”, it can just cause one type of cataclysm.

The followers claim that many natural events in the last years are caused by it, but fail to explain why Jupiter, which is three times closer and three times more massive as the claims they have for Planet X, does not have an effect.

JayaP: Don’t believe scientists. Never ever believe them. They don’t want to be believed. They feel more happy if you test their theories critically.

    It’s load of BS.

    Why?
The Nibirubelievers haven’t delivered anything that can be considered proof by a mentally sane person.

  6. Jason T says:

No, for the simple reason that any planet-sized object close enough to be here in three years would be easily visible by now, and would certainly be showing its gravitational influence on other objects. It’s not there.

  7. Jaya P says:

NO,nothing will be caused to us.Here there are many scientists
they will be always looking the world.believe them.Dont worry.

  8. Elizabeth H says:

The possibility that we might be hit by an asteroid is not relevant to whether or not Nibiru exists. I do a lot of work on the asteroid impact danger, as you can see on my website . I also can’t promise that you will live through December 2012; you might be hit by a truck. But I can say with confidence that Nibiru doesn’t exist. Remember what Nibiru is said to be: a planet (or brown dwarf) with a 3600 year period, known to the ancient Sumerians, that will pass between the Earth and the Sun in 2012 and is already easily seen from the South Pole. That is flat-out false. If there were such an object, astronomers would know about it and have been tracking it for years. Thus “Nibiru” is a lie, independent of other things that might happen like a hit by an asteroid (or a truck).
I don’t understand why people don’t accept that Nibiru does not exist. You must want very much for this object to be real, although I can’t see why. But please accept the truth, that Nibiru is a hoax, linked to a religious cult, and having nothing to do with science. But perhaps some of you will need to wait until 4 years to see that nothing happens in 2012 when this object is supposed to fly close to Earth.

  9. Raymond says:

Nibiru (in relation to 2012) was invented by Zecharia Sitchin a few decades ago. According to his story, its orbit takes it close to us every 3600 years (or so). He “predicted” the next return for the year 2085. He should know, since he invented it. In his story, Nibiru never gets close enough to harm us. However, its inhabitants come here to collect the gold we are supposed to be mining for them.

Planet X was invented by a group of charlatans, supposedly following a message received, by Nancy Leider, from a civilization on a planet around the star we call Zeta Reticuli. Planet X was supposed to come close to Earth, cause storms and tsunamis, even flip our poles. It was used on a few occasion to explain the end-of-the-world “predicted” by the group.

The last time Planet X was used was for the end-of-the-world of 2003.

The group has a book for sale on how to survive the end-of-the-world. It did not sell well in 2003, so for the 2012 end-of-the-world, they combined Nibiru and Planet X in order to increase the number of ways that they could cause the end-of-the-world.

We know who invented the two fictitious planets. That is why we do not believe that they can cause cataclysms (the planets don’t exist).

  10. Geoff G says:

It is not a question of belief; it is a question of scientific evidence.

There is no evidence that Planet X or Nibiru exists. I have repeatedly asked for the coordinates of Nibiru, so that I can observe it with my telescope, but no one has ever given them to me. If this planet is supposed to be in the vicinity of Earth four years from now, it should already be visible in the sky — planets don’t just appear out of nowhere.

  11. Steve P says:

No, its a hoax promoted by a woman called Nancy Lieder who claims to talk to aliens through a chip in her head. Its based on a theory by Zechariah Sitchin who has his own unique interpretation of some ancient sumerian texts. Even Sitchin doesn’t support the 2012 idea.

We detected tiny Eris and Sedna way beyond Pluto, which would take hundreds of years to get here if they were heading in our direction, but some people believe that a massive planet can be just 4 years away without being noticed. Even if it was less reflective than anything else in the solar system, it would be the brightest thing in the sky after the sun and moon and its gravitation would have been disturbing the orbit of other bodies for many years.

    Its a hoax.

  12. Tina L says:

belief is irrelevant. there is no observational or documentary evidence. it doesn’t exist.

where do you believe nibiru is in the sky? i have hefty telescopes, as do many ppl in this forum. we want to see it. where is it? why do none of you believers ever answer this very reasonable question?
