Has anyone ever found a Nephilim fossil?
Archaeologist were astonished in Greece to find giant caskets that held mastodon bones.
As it turned out the Greeks thought all the heroes in their mythologies were giants.
When they happened on mastodon bones they held a funeral and arranged them like a man.
Sadly while archaeologist recorded the phenomenon they typically tossed out the bones.
Could the Jewish tales of Nephilim be based on a similar thing?
Bones of giant prehistoric creatures like the mastodons needed explaining even by primitive people.

I agree there are many things on this earth unexplained if we stop fighting each other and help together we can figure all of them out.

Fascinating, it is possible. Native people in Alberta thought the dinosaur fossils they found corresponded to certain myths they had, and called them the grandfather of the buffalo.

I think you are right on the money. We’ll never know, of course, how the idea of the nephilim developed, but that’s a very persuasive hypothesis, it seems to me.
well, wern’t the nephilim the children of angels who mated with human women?
they were described as giants which terrorized people.
i suppose i don’t really know whether bones have been found but it would be interesting to look into it.
