Spread rumors about salt scarcity -> Panic Buying of salt in China -> Actual scarcity of salt -> Salt Riot -> Popular Unrest on the lines of Jasmine Revolutions -> CCP toppled -> Reactionary and Imperialist western whites win.

Not if diligent souls such as yourself continue to recite the party lines so that nobody else can hear themselves think! Continue to crack down with the force of an angry (non-deistic power of your choice) on any and all dissenters, regardless of the nature of their dissent, and I’m sure everyone will see the truth in time.

It’s the year 2011 and my fellow brethren are being infected by a plague disease called Human Stupidity. The disease has been wide spread affecting nearly half of the populace. I fear for humanity.
Yes, it was a Western conspiracy. Fortunately, the PRC has already cleverly laid claim to 95% of the South China Sea, and will use it as a source of seasalt to relieve the run on Mainland-based saltmine supplies. The desalination plants in the Spratly Islands are now running round-the-clock to meet demands. A fringe benefit is that the fresh water generated in this process is being pumped to central China where it is expected to reduce the “Dustbowl” conditions created by overzealous and ignorant land usage and water management practices.
