Fortunately, the PRC has already cleverly laid claim to 95% of the South China Sea, and will use it as a source of seasalt to relieve the run on Mainland-based saltmine supplies. The desalination plants in the Spratly Islands are now running round-the-clock to meet demands. A fringe benefit is that the fresh water generated in this process is being pumped to central China where it is expected to reduce the "Dustbowl" conditions created by overzealous and ignorant land usage and water management practices.
