I have always had an interest in things that most people would consider strange. I always figured it was because of my Sun, Mercury and Venus being in the 8th house. Everything I have read about these placements have always been about being interested in mysteries and mysterious type of things. I also have Mars in Scorpio but, I doubt its strictly a Scorpio thing. I think you would have to ask a more experienced astrologer to find out what would make someone want to join a secret society, rather than rebel against them.
