Question: The concept of a so called “Planet X” zipping around our solar system seems a bit unrealistic to me.?
How could something so big be completely invisible to telescopes and how could it leave no gravitational or any traces on the other planets. It just doesn’t seem to make sense.
On the other hand, I have read that there exoplanets flying around in interstellar space and they are attached to no star. This is believable, but the planet x thing in our own solar system undetected is hard to visualize.
Does anyone with more knowledge than I have any ideas about this?

i think you are thinking the planet is bigger than it really would be. and you are underestimating how far away it would be. you can see stars because they generate light, and the moon because it reflects light from the sun, but since planet x is a planet, is doesn’t generate light and its crazy far away, so it couldn’t reflect the light.

This is exactly why any reputable source will tell you that there is no such thing as Planet X. There is absolutely no evidence to support its existence.
Unfortunately, the Internet is full of disreputable sources.
that’s the point: why can nobody see this thing?
if it was going to be in our vicinity in 2012 it would be a naked-eye object now. where is it?
It’s an imaginary planet that exists inside the creative minds of the hoaxers. It is physically impossible and should have been seen by astronomers now if the details of its orbit and its respective parameters are what the hoaxers tell it to be.
Oh no! You are applying logic to Planet X!
If you have spent anytime in this forum you should realize that the facts don’t apply to the true believers of this nonsense!
But you are correct, ‘unrealistic’ is being polite. Delusional is more like it.
It seems a bit unrealistic to me too ☺

I am glad to see someone who is actually thinking instead of just believing whatever they see on the internet or hear from their friends. You are absolutely correct about the fictional Planet X.
The exoplanets, however, are not just flying around the galaxy. They are orbiting other stars.
Planet X refers to a thoerized celestial body thta is a resident of our own solar system.
When Herschel discovered Uranus in 1781, he realized that there had to be another massive body orbiting beyond it becuase of the perterbations apparent in its orbital path.
In 1843, John Couch Adams computed the orbit of Neptune based upon 1821 calucations made by Bouvard, of purterbations in the orbit of Uranus. The first time a planet was discovered by computation, reather than physical identification.
However, there were still perterbations calculated n the orbits of the four outer gas giants, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. These perterbations could not be accounted for unless there were another, very large outer planet that had a further gravitational affect on them.
So began the hunt for Planet X. So named because it doesn’t have a name. It is a theory.
That hunt lasted until 1930, when Pluto was finally discovered. However, it was soon calculated that Pluto had nowhere near the mass necessary to cause the orbital discrepancies that still exist.
In the interim, many questions have come to light.
Why does Uranus spin on it’s side? Pluto was once a moon of Saturn. How did it get into such an immense, elliptical orbit, tilted so far fom the ecliptic? Why does Venus rotate clockwise when all the other planets rotate counterclockwise (and it takes 244 earth days to rotate once).
Other questions that still haven’t been answered.
Why is Sol surrounded by so many cometary bodies, and why do they all enter and exit the inner solar system following the same path? Where did the asteroids come from? What happened to Mars?
Many, many questions, and still no answers.
Unless you decide to climb out of the box and go take a look for yourself. You might just learn something new. Like there are many people that have NO CLUE of reality, but will espouse thier version of reality as the only true one.
Reality is stranger than fiction. Are you ready?
Here’s the truth.
6000 years ago there was a culture in Mesopotamia that we know today as the Sumerians. They were the very first cultured civilization on our planet. Older even than the Egyptians.
The Sumerians wrote volumes about a celestial body they called Nibiru, which in their language means Planet of the Crossing. This Nibiru, in their own words, was another planet in our own solar system. This planet rotates around Sol in a clockwise direction, opposite from the other planets. It has a long, elliptical orbit that takes it tens of billions of miles away from Sol during it’s orbit.
They further stated that this planet has an orbital period of 3600 years. no wonder we haven’t seen it for awhile!
The Egyptians also wrote about this celestial body, also giving it a 3600 year orbital period. The Egyptians, however wnet even further and described in detail, with dates, when it was in our vicinity last.
In their Great Book, the Egyptians (who called their race the Khem) called this planet The Destroyer, and by their own measurement it was (by our calendar) about 1600 BC the last time it passed by Earth.
This is an important time. It was the time of the defeat of the Pharoa by the Hebrews. It was the time of Moses, and the ten plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, and other miraculous events.
A planet passing by close to ours would certainly explain a lot of things. There would be extreme tides, enough to drain shallow seas, like the Red Sea for only part of a day. Tihis body would be surrounded by a cloud of debris that would enter our own atmosphere, causing stones mixed with fire to rain from the sky. These stones would inreality be composed mostly of iron. As this iron dust filled small streams, rivers and lakes, the water would turn a red color, fish would die, and the frogs would all jum out, and then die of iron poisoning.
Sound familiar. Like the ten plagues of the Old Testament? Well, the Egyotians also wrote about this stuff, it was just written from their perspective, which actually gives us a different outlook on that historical time period.
Native Americans have produce rock art that clearly shows the approach of another planet through the heavens, and it’s subsequent consequences here on Earth. Aboriginal tribes in Australia have produced the same exact images in their rock art. How does that happen? Because there is an hostorical even that is witnessed across the planet by everyone.
Planet X, or Nibiru, or whatever you wish to call it has been well documented by the ancients if we will just listen to what it is they have to say. Why do you think the ancient peoples were so fearful and terrified of the sky? Why was Stonehenge built? So humanity had a way to calculate the bext time this thing would pass.
The Maya have a tradition of the Red Comet. They calculated it’s passing, and when it would pass again. Interesting that their calendar actually ends on the winte
“Planet X” is a generic term for any hypothetical but as-yet-undiscovered planet. And you’re absolutely right about any undiscovered large planets in the solar system: If they were there, we would have noticed by now.
All of the exoplanets discovered so far orbit other stars. It is certainly possible for a planet to be stripped from its parent star and sent on an independent course through the galaxy, but such events are rare and space is very, very large. There is almost no chance of such a “rogue” planet entering our solar system; and again, if it happens, we would know about it.
Congratulations, your brain is working just fine.
“Planet X” (specifically, a body 4x the size of Venus on a 3600 year elliptical orbit) is impossible based on the claims made about it, let alone the claim that it will be here in only 3 1/2 years.
It’s a hoax. See my complete opinion in the link below.
