Why are the words “brainwashing” and “conspiracy” forbidden in American national politics?
Example: In the sixties, George Rommney, then governor of Michigan, fell precipitously in his quest for the republican presidential nomination after he said that the people were being brainwashed about the Vietnam war.
Example: The press often ridicule any mention of “conspiracy”.
I think that the reason why these 2 words, (among others) are treated by the media with ridicule and scorn, is because the media represent the establishment, and the establishment and the media are the brainwashers, and the people (by virtue of their power and know how) who can carry on succesfull conspiracies.

I totally agree with you. The American people are so brain washed they can’t see the truth when it is told to them. Many that I know refuse to believe anything told to them unless it is by their government. Now that is brainwashing!
These words are too often coming out of the mouth of a person who also believes in leprechauns and the easter bunny trying to take over the world.
Because sometimes the truth is difficult to look at. And because brainwashing and conspiracy is the basis for American politics !
The reason is because no one listens to themselves any more. We listen to the media and to music and to the actors for answers to everything. Our government and governments all over the world lie to their people to shut them up. People are killed and framed to make sure important info doesn’t leak. I’m not saying this because I’m a big conspiracy person, but the fact is is that there are still questions that our government has answers and wont tell us. For instance, their is a theory that a missile or a bomb hit the pentagon on 9/11. Their is scientific evidence to prove (and i am not talking about that parking lot camera) that it is impossible for a 757 to crash into the pentagon the way it did and leave no trace. Search it on Yahoo! if u want, there is some pretty good videos explaining what i am talking about; however the fact is is that the government seized all of the other videos that would have proven that a plane did in fact crash into the pentagon. However they will not release the videos. This to me is fishy, and yet people will argue till hell boils over to say that a plane crashed into it. This is due to great government cover ups and tricky brainwashing to make you forget about the whole thing and fight against it. If you think that a plane crashed into it GREAT, now prove it. People need to shut up and listen around them, forget what your peers say or the media, IT MAY NOT BE RIGHT!!! What a concept ha ha. The government isn’t here to solve your problems or to be your buddy, look at Katrina, people relied on the gov. to get them out, and they never came (well eventually they did). the fact of the matter is is that the people today are all naive and want everything to be hand fed to them, but people need to do something or nothing will get done. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing” Edmund Burke.
