A scientist called Constantine Rafinesque came across it and realized he had a calender lexicon which used lines and dots for digits and it was on a 260 day cycle which took in the moon and sun, not unlike the Jewish calender system.  It resembles two gears the turn to determine the date.  This 20 month system was more accurate that our calender.  A persons date of birth had enormous significance and would determine the course of the rest of (his) life.  This is a brief synopsis to a long piece of material.</description>
