Do you believe in the 2012 Doomsday prediction?
In my opinion, no because I think that if there was even a planet so big that will hit us in 2012, then astronomers could have seen it? If not astronomers, then the Hubble Space Telescope? If there was a planet like that, then wouldn’t our planet’s tides and gravitational pull change?

No, I don’t.
absolutely not. and to prove it…
Here is what will happen in 2012

No. I don’t believe the Mayan calendar, or Nostradamus can predict when Apocalypse will take place. These questions will always have different answers, don’t bother yourself you will never get a definite answer. Unless you believe in God, then you know what to believe.
I don’t know fully what the 2012 prediction is, other than what other people have told me. And you are right i think, in saying that if a massive planet was going to hit us someone would have seen it by now. My understanding of the 2012 prediction is that the world -as we know it- will end. That could mean a lot of different things, and frankly i am a little frightened.

I dun believe it!!!
Do you know that the original meaning of the word apocalypse is awakening, or enlightenment? So it’s probably more likely that it’s the end of the world as you know it.
No. Hogwash.
Something about the mayan calender ending.
One cycle ends and another one begins. Or so they say.
I didn’t believe the one in 1961, 1968, 1969, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1993 the big one in 2000 … and the one in 2004.
I think these crazies just keep throwing dates out there… like trowing darts at a dart-board – blindfolded – when they get close they’re going to say “SEE TOLD YOU SO”.
Please consider this:
1) There is currently a period of “global warming” on Mars – unfortunately for AL GORE – there are not taxpayer’s there to pay for the carbon footprint.
2) The AL GORE effect – (need I say more)
3) 2008 had the coldest winter on record in China (China – a place that has records going back thousands of years
4) this year -we’ve had a TON of NEW LOW TEMPERATURES.
Al Gore would believe in SANTA CLAUS – if he thought he could scare the citizens into being okay with him taking more of our money for more of his projects… It would then be called the REINDEER MAINTENANCE FOOTPRINT.
I do believe that there will be some kind of change. I know that we enter into Aquarius and it is the start of the new astrological cycle. But I do not think it will be bad. Maybe it will be a new period of enlightenment.
They have said that before about Y2K and we all know how that turned out.
This is all stupidity. nothin’ is gonna happen. Are the astronomers god to say that this is gonna happen? Some saints say that moon will not come on full moon day, but the moon comes. We’ll see what happens?
We can predict it also.
Didn’t they say that the world would end in the year 2000?

^ after seeing the movie you might change your mind
Those space rocks floating around up there are all over the place. Boulders of 200 feet to 1000 feet across are difficult to spot and astronomers are looking for them all the time. But if one should strike the Earth in 2012 (a 1000 foot space rock hitting the planet would cause wide spread devastation) – it’ll be nothing more than pure coincidence!
You are right, the 2012 predictions are rather stupid, and so are it’s proponents.
According to the 2012ers it will be the end of the world because
1. Nostradamus said so
2. The Mayan calendar ends
3. An Ouija Board said so
4. There will be a pole shift
5. There will be a planetary alignment
6. There will be a galactic alignment
7. An asteroid will hit earth
8. Planet X/ Nibiru will appear
9. Some crystal skull nonsense
10. We are heading into a photon belt (whatever that’s supposed to be
11. Indian Astronomer said so
12. The Sun will blow up
13. Some Volcano or Earthquake
14. A Black Hole will come along
15. The experiments in CERN’s LHC
16. The Aztecs said so (2012ers aren’t really good at making a difference between them and the Mayans)
17. The Arabians said every 60,000 years something bad will happen
18. The Swedish scientist that are trying to recreate the big bang (2012ers don’t know the difference between Swedes and Swiss either)
19. Time will speed up
20. Nibiru will turn the sun into a supernova
21 Gravity will implode (don’t ask what that’s supposed to mean)
and probably some other equally silly reasons.
Who says it has to be big? Who says we have to be destroyed by an asteroid anyway, can’t it be something else? Personally I don’t think that we will be destroyed in 2012 and if I am wrong I won’t care for long now will I?
No.
You are correct in being skeptical. Indeed, if any planet of the size described by others was heading towards us not only would the Hubble see it, but it would be visible to the unaided eye by now.
It’s all a hoax.
