End of time 2012 prophecy?

End of time 2012 prophecy?
can someone give me some more information about the prophecy of 2012?

I know there was other prophesies before and they didn’t come true, was there the same amount of internet articles about those prophecies as the 2012?

I found a lot of internet pages about the 2012 prophacy so I was wondering if there were as much proof for the past ones?

Thanks

All the so-called “Mayan prophecies of 2012” are nothing more than wildly speculative extrapolations, which are based on the yet uncertain interpretations by scholars of Mayan hieroglyphs. However, the truth is that apart from the astrological convergence, there is little indication that the Mayans prophesied anything specific regarding the events of this distant future. The Mayans were not prophets; they were not even able to predict their own cultural extinction. They were great mathematicians and accomplished sky watchers, but they were also a brutally violent tribal people with a primitive understanding of natural phenomena, subscribing to archaic beliefs and the barbaric practices of blood-letting and human sacrifice.

There is absolutely nothing in the Bible that would present December 21, 2012, as the end of the world. While that date is no less valid for an end-times event than any other future date, the Bible nowhere presents the astronomical phenomena the Mayans pointed to as a sign of the end times. It would seem very inconsistent of God to allow the Mayans to discover such an amazing truth while keeping the many Old Testament prophets ignorant of the timing of the events. In summary, there is absolutely no biblical evidence that the 2012 Mayan prophecy / prediction of doomsday is in any sense valid or probable.

Accepting the Mayan 2012 prophecy logically requires acceptance of the following theories: our sun is a god; the sun is powered by the blood of human sacrifice; the creation moment occurred at 3114 B.C. (despite all evidence that it happened much earlier); and the visual alignment of stars has some significance for everyday human life. Like every other false religion, the Mayan religion sought to elevate to the point of worship that which was created in place of the Creator Himself. The Bible tells us about such false worshipers: “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Romans 1:25), and “since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse” (Romans 1:20). To accept the Mayan 2012 prophecy also denies the clear biblical teaching about the end of the world, because Jesus told us “…of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father” (Mark 13:32).

    It’s a lie!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Jared says:

The past ones didn’t come true, did they? There’s no evidence that the world will end in 2012, although a lot of quack authors are making bank because of it.

I also know a whole lot of “proof” for the year 2000 ‘end of time’ prophesies. Would you like me to write some?

I know Obama may be reelected in 2012, but you’re overdoing it. He has plenty of time to destroy the world before 2012…

All I know is the government is hiding something.

as much proof? well as there is no proof, then yes there was as much proof

The Mayan calendar ends in December 2012. This means nothing. The calendar on my phone ends in December 2069. Does that mean the world will end in December 2069?

Theres alot more theories for 2012 than for Y2K which was beyond retarded like yeah OMG the computers are at year 00 we’re all going to die. More like our computers might.. screw up? kill us though? LOL
    anyways….
ive read about a giant unborn star (which would be a planet somewhat like jupiter) that orbits the solar system in an obscure path that returns into the solar system every 3000 or so years. Alluding to Noahs arch, with the massive floods. (what would happen if a planet bigger than jupiter came by us)

Another is: the myian calender stops, meaning their means of counting time stops. Time spelt backwards is Emit. Maybe the human race will learn how to become more spiritual beings (to lazy to write it all out)

One more: the myian calender was supposedly founded on 2 things, a calender like ours thats based on seasons etc and the 9 month gestation period for human beings. Which links with the 2nd theory that maybe it has somethign to do with our evolution that will make us somehow change as people on 2012

Its all up in the air though lol

It really isn’t a prophecy, it is theory and speculation based on the Mayan calendar.

The Mayans were a very intelligent civilization that made exact calendars using the constellations as their guide. They disappeared leaving no clues as to what happened to them. The Mayan calendar ends on December 12, 2012, thus the speculation that this indicates the end of time.

It could have several meanings of things good or things evil. No one really knows. We just have to wait and see what happens, like the Y2K.

The Mayan Prophecies of 2012 do not foretell the end of the world. If you study them out they do foretell the end of an age and the beginning of another. There is a lot of hype surrounding these prophecies because of the year that we are in (we are not that far from 2012).

Jesus foretells the end of the age in Matthew (the KJV miss quotes this as the end of the world, should be age). If you take the time out and study the end time prophecies (all of them Mayans, Nostradamus, Edgar Caycee and many others) you will see that they are all very similar…

Careful, prayerful study of the Word of God will reveal a lot of knowledge to those who really seek it…
