MAYAN CALENDar?
how does the mayan calendar, i know it comes to an end but it isnt like a normal calendar. did they just decide to end the calendar somewhere or does it end by itself

I think you mean the Aztec Calendar, if you are then it supposedly predicts when the end of the world will come. I don’t think there is an end but more of a date of when it’ll happen or maybe it depicts events until the day its all over. I have one of them, its a replica but its still cool to put on the wall.
What do you think? Answer below!

It’s said the calendars end is a cycle that comes to an end. If you do a search there is a lot of information online.
I think the end is always the beginning of something new.
three circles
outer circle, sun time 360 days with 5 ‘ trade days ‘ also
middle circle, moon time 240 days
inner circle, destruction time. apparently the world gets destroyed at REGULAR INTERVALS and the next one occurs in the year 2012 when the calender ends, permanently.
because of the combination of the numbers 360 and 240 this calander can accurately predict the position of the planet venus accurate to within one day in over 6000 years, something modern man can not even approach in terms of accuracy. i say there must be a little something to it. incidentally, ever tried tracking the position of the planet venus….what a nightmare…it makes a figure eight…sort of in the sky and is exceedingly difficult to track accurately,
Mayan calendar stops on Dec 23,2012…the Aztec one with the guy sticking out his tongue is on my belt buckle…its nothing
i guess they couldn’t see that far
I heard somewhere it was based on the sun, but I don’t know any more than that. I am wondering what will happen in 2012, when it is supposed to end. Will it be really freaky or will it be like a Y2k thing?
