mayan calendar?
Someone recently went to Mexico and brought back a Mayan Calendar Wall Plaque for me.

However, the the God in the middle is facing towards the right on my plaque.
Is there any explanation of why this is?
Every website I go to, the God is facing the other way. Why?

Its probably a mirror image of the actual calendar. Sometimes you can take a picture and it will reverse the image. Sometimes the photographer or web designer will do that for some reason themselves.

Yes, it could be a mirror image.
perhaps it was made from a cast of the first one and in the process the image was flipped. Or perhaps it has such a Strong meaning to the Mayan that they do not sell the actual image ….. superstitious??
Wow that’s really cool. ^_^ They really were artistic and creative eh?
They even built some pyraminds in Chitzen Iza to correspond with sun angles. And the steps on each four sides adds up to 365 which is coincidently 365 days a year. The whole pyramid is a calender itself. ^^
