Is the ’2012 doomsday’ thing an internet phenomenon only? Or are people talking about it in the real world?
Do you see and hear much talk of this end-of-the-world 2012 stuff in places other than on the internet?
I was surprised when someone at work actually mentioned it.

The world didn’t end in 2000… and it ain’t gonna end in 2012.
I wouldn’t bother thinking about it if I were you.

people actually believe this in the real world.
its based on the Mayan calender that said that the world would be destroyed in 2012.
Idk my art teacher spent 30 mins. talking about it xD
& I still dont believe that cr*p.
it’s the Mayans…blame the Mayans!
yes, i hear talk about it in the real world.
in fact, i even had a nightmare about it last night.

I heard of it. People talked about it. I said SCREW it.
1000 years ago, the Mayan indians had a big wheel that told them the Earth would end December 21 2012
I doubt it
My best friend is the one that showed that to me.
I don’t really hear that much of it otherwise, and to be honest, I am glad. I would end up dying at 20 years old. How lame is that? I know it is real if CNN tells me (if they already haven’t…).
You see, the people on the internet actually eat and breathe in the “real world” as well. It’s quite phenomenal actually.
The world was meant to blow up several times in my lifetime already, hasnt so far lol. But yeah i’ve heard about it.
It is mentioned in the real world, not just on the internet.
Some people believe that since the Mayan calender ended in 2012 then the world will end that year. I don’t think that’s gonna happen. The mayans probably just ran out of space to put the rest of the years on there lol
it wont happen…chill
scientist said it would’ve happened last year on this day i was in skool and nothing happened. no earthquake no massive explosion.
too bad though….i think i had a test that day.
Yes, we do.
oh i hope not….
my dad says when he was lil he alsways thought that the world was going to end in 2000 and it didnt so i think we’re fine…
but with my religion (LDS) we beleivve the second coming is very close….
Ok. So everyone is talking about that but the thing I would like to know is how reliable are us humans to tell each other when we are gonna meet our demise. We all know its gonna happen but we don’t know when. I mean didn’t we all get fooled into that Y2K or whatever thing in 1999-2000. And did anything happen? No, so what we need to stop doing is putting our trust into unreliable people and begin putting our trust in the bible.
it is prob just an internet phenomenon cause if u watch the movie knwoing with nichlous cage in it supposbly aliens come and there is children tht they hear people talking to them the there is a bunch of number on a piece of paper like 478789454647864786456456486713698569
41967364849714 etc.. and they are suppose to be dates and loactions its wierd stuuff but i dont think it is true caue wen i was in sixth grade one of the dates tht year was 666 which is the deivils birthday and they they we weer all suppose to die and then in the year 200 we were and in 2003 and this year also so who knows
It will be an awakening not a doomsday
Yes, the priest actually talked about it at church. He says that the world will end at Jesus’ second coming, which will be unlikely on that day.
The world isn’t going to end in 2012. The only time I heard of this was in school because in Social we are learning about the Aztecs and according to the Aztec Calender the world might end every 52 years and if the sun comes up they would sacrifice a human and light a fire in their chest. It’s bogus don’t believe it.
The Mayan calendar ends in 2012, or another way of saying it is that it was never finished. I heard about it in my spanish classes and a relative told me they saw it on the National Geographic channel? It mentioned that a huge astroid would come into Earth’s path? I think it is silly although then again, if the government knew they probably would not tell us
So no, it is not only Internet.
the end of the world could be tomorrow, next century, in 20 minutes, and personally, i don’t give a damn
Edit: BTW, i am an atheist, i think religion is fake
i thought the internet was the real world
Ya I was surprised when I first heard about it in the real world from my friend then I heard it in school but they saw it in the internet. And its definitely not going to happen but then again nobody can predict the end. I hope it doesn’t happen! I’m too young and beautiful to die! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!
BTW just because somebody talks about it only in the internet doesn’t mean it is not real but seriously I highly doubt it happening. Its a big talk actually even though it varies around the world.
