Is there scientific evidence of doomsday being December 21, 2012?
The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012, and a lot of people are believing the world will end and we’ll all die that day. Myths include Planet X, solar flares frying us alive, asteroids colliding with the earth, etc. Do more people believe doomsday will be Dec. 21, 2012 than people who don’t believe it? Is there scientific evidence of doomsday occurring in 2012?

Isaac Newton predicted 2060. But, all of the predictions by anyone who
tried to predict that when doomsday will be has been wrong, so far.
Well, we humans have no real answer for this because we simply don’t know or refuse to reveal it. There is no “scientific proof” of it but according to the Mayans yes. And also the Mayans were VERY ACCURATE at the stars and astrology so we have reason to believe them. Lol i am graduating in 2012 so we all make a joke about how we are all going to die right before we graduate lol.
Absolutely none at all! No calendar end, just have cycles, is all lies of bad hoax, only very gullible people believe such obvious nonsense, many of them here at YA.
Yes, but not in 2012, nor 3000, or 5000 for that matter. It will be quite a while before the sun dies.

Please listen, my parents have said, and my dad has lived for 65 years and my mom for 43 years, and they have both stated, if the predictions were true that the world will end, the world would have ended 20 years ago. There were predictions in I think 2000, around there, in the late 90s, and even before that. The Mayan Calender is just when the calender ends, does that mean the world will end? No. Nothing we have is proof that the world will end. Is there proof that it will? No, but the Sun isn’t expected to burn out for a couple billion years. Astroids or comets or anything of that calaber? Possibly, but when it comes towards the Earth, most of it burns up in the Earh’s atmosphere, so a couple of those a probably not enough to take out the entire human race. Solar Flares….not much. As we know, the Earth’s Magnetic Field is weaking, but scientists are already predicting it will burn out, if it does, in a couple Million-Billion years. but it is decreasing in power rapidly, but one explination is a Reversal.
Back then, the poles were not North and South, but South and North. The compass we have today will face North, back then however, it faced South. Scientists have learned, through studies of the small structure of the Magnetic Field in glass, that they do the same thing. As well as studies in Volcanic Rock. The Earth’s poles have changed a couple times in Earth’s history, and Scientists are predicting that the Earth is due for another change soon, which may explain for the Magnetic Field’s behavior. One Scientist did a simulation on the computer, and he let it run, later he found out something extroidinary, the Fields Reversed. First, they mixed together, then, reversed completly. We may be due for a Magnetic Field Reversal. So if so, Solar Flares are not likley to happen.
Planet X? Maybe. But Scientist did another Simulation, and Planet X just barely passes through Earth and its Gravitational Field, unable to be sucked in towards Earth, but, just in case, Scientists are looking for ways to speed up Earth’s movement a little faster, to avoid as disaster such as this.
Will the World end at all? If so, I believe it will be, ultimatly, the Sun. Our source of life, will ultimatly be our enemy, and our downfall.

Doomsday was yesterday. We are doomed to never being able to get it back. December 21, 2012 will be no different.
