Q&A: what happens to the people who predict doomsday?

what happens to the people who predict doomsday?
Yesterday was suppose to be the end of the world. Although no one (sane) really believed it, most TV news shows at least commented on it. Several Web news sites did pieces on it.

Then when the world doesn’t end, no one says anything. Why is there no news reporter who goes back to the crackpots and says “So what happened? Why are we still here” I am much more interested in hearing what these people have to say after they are proven wrong than I am in what they say before.

  1. Hell Kitty says:

According to bible, false prophets should be stoned to death.I think this is rare case, when bible makes sense.

  2. theone78 says:

They may get rich but then again they also get mocked for life after it doesn’t come to pass… LOL !!

  3. Gucci Mane says:

they screw people out of their money, and laugh all the way to the bank. however biblical times they were stoned, i’d be willing to go back to that time

  4. Douglass says:

    Well, They are wrong

  5. xDanx says:

they are frowned upon and looked at like they are crazy.. we are all still here so go figure!

No one will report on the “what happened” today, because its just something someone said which was proven incorrect.. no need to drag it out in the media. Just makes people look more and more stupid for listening to it in the first place.

The fraudster claims that he got another “revelation” from God, and that plans have changed. And his gullible ignoramus followers keep shoveling the money his way.

Look at the Seventh Day Adventists: they were created by William Miller, who convinced a lot of people that the world was going to end in 1844. Well, it didn’t, but the Seventh Day Adventists are still going strong.

Jehovah’s Witnesses is another group that has predicted the world will end in 1914 and 1975, and obviously, it has not.

There is a sucker born every minute, and as long as that continues, religous fraud will flourish in this country.

    They look stupid.

  8. Religion Fails Again says:

Because they are hiding from the media in order to avoid being laughed at by the public.
