Why are many of Muslims paranoid of rumors of doomsday is just around the corner?
They got afraid of stories about Qiamat is approching. They believe the chances for them to die on Qiamat’s day is much higher than the chances of them getting to die today or tomorrow.

I think they need to focus their attention of preparing themselves to die at any moment. If they are afraid of the coming doomsday it is because they do not believe they are going to jannah or are worried about their chances. Those who know that heaven awaits are not afraid of the approach.
