Q&A: Will the world end in year 2012?

Will the world end in year 2012?
I am just asking if the world will actually end in 2012.

Please think of all the natural disasters that happen throughout the world at this moment.Think of all the millions that die or loose their homes.

Okay, look, there’s a reason all of this “end of the world in 2012″ stuff is so popular. Mostly, it’s because the media is making loads of advertising $ $ $ from publicizing and promoting it. But take a deep breath, and look at the facts in the simplest & clearest way possible. The Mayans, Aztecs, Sumerians, Chinese, etc., and Nostradamus and even Isaac Newton, were ALL studying the SAME stars with all of their cycles and motions. The did so without knowledge of each other (more or less) and without interference from each other. IF these guys were good at their jobs, which clearly they were, then they would achieve the same skills at predicting the same phenomena independently. Which they did. It doesn’t matter if one group used metric units, imperial units, or anything else to measure time and angles (etc.) as long as their records were precise, and kept over long periods of time. So, what is it that they ALL discovered? Well, it isn’t the end of the world. What they discovered was that our solar system, as it moves through space around the center of the Milky Way, is rising toward the galactic equator and will cross it sometime around Dec. 2012. That’s it. This really is amazing, but not THAT amazing when you remember that they were ALL looking the same stars and so on. As to “millions that die…” you have to go a long ways to get to “millions”. Natural disasters, sadly, happen all the time–the world we live on is always changing, it’s not static. There really are NO more disasters happening now than at any other time, the media just makes it seem like it. Don’t believe what you see on cable TV–that’s entertainment, NOT science.
