Spiritually speaking…How many christians believe in the 2012 prophecy?

Listless, I don’t care if you think my question is idiotic or the fact that you are rude. I’m only curious because I’ve read many christians who think 2012 is the end and I was just wondering why a christian would believe that the end ofthe mayan calendar would be the date for armageddon or the end of life as we know it.

Answer by Hollie. RIP MJ! x

    weak ones

  2. Niki says:

You can’t be Christian and believe in that. God said that no one will know when the world will end. Since everyone “knows” the world is going to end in 2012 it goes against what God said.

    God bless! :)

  3. Lexi Luvs Michael Jackson says:

God says in the Bible that the rapture will come wen no1 is expecting it. so if ur expecting it in 2012, it wont come

  4. Karl P says:

Not ‘this christian’. I go with Jesus Living Word and not ‘man’s interpretation!

  5. Fraekeu says:

None should, because 1. It’s not a prophecy, the Mayan calendar just ends and 2. Jesus said He would come like a thief, at a day and hour unknown to all but the Father, so if we claim to know the day then it’s a lie and He won’t come. But Jesus said we don’t know the day nor hour, which means the world may end in the year 2012, just not on December 21st.

  6. listless says:

considering that that date comes from Mayan calendar (please refresh my memory on how many Mayans were Christian) I find your question idiotic.
EDIT: exactly how MANY Christians ? surely you must know…

  7. Cookies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! says:

I dont its a bunch of bull

  8. *Me* says:

It says in the Holy Book that the Lord shall return when no one is expecting it, and he will divide the people, with the lambs on his right, and the others to his left. Then the believers shall go to heaven.

If a person is truly a Christian, then they don’t believe the 2012 prophecy, but they are all still ready for whenever the Lord comes.

  9. fancier_rmv04 says:

Didn’t the Mayans come up with that prophecy? I only take the biblical prophecies seriously.Only God knows when Jesus will return and I’ll wait for Him.

Unless someone presses that red button setting off their nukes for WW3 then NO, the mayans couldn’t predict their own demise?. Why should I or anyone else worry about the fact they run out of calender space. Except for those who are looking for the End of the World :) for whatever reason.

  11. Hey Diddle Diddle! says:

I believe that there are prophesies that happen, but I don’t think we can predict when they’re going to happen. Maybe something horrible will occur in 2012, but I don’t think the world will end. Even if something does, I think we’ll say, “That was it?”
