Was the use of nuclear warfare necessary to end World War II?
Was President Truman justified in dropping two bombs on Japan? What should he have done? Please provide your sources.

Necessary, no. Justified, yes.
It was the most efficient, quick, and decisive way to win the war, at the spare of American lives.
Though we would have eventually won, and were already succeeding in diplomacy.
In response to Justin. The US would have eventually won no problem. China was rapidly increasing in power, and the USSR had already beat Germany. And would for sure, want Japan to go with it. Of course, without those bombs the cold war would have been likely avoided, and the bond between Communism and Democracy might have been better.
