What are your thoughts on doomsday 2012 ? Is the world really going to end ?
Ok so all i’ve heard about is the whole end of the world in 2012, the more i read about it the more it’s starting to sink in. Floods and earthquakes are happening now so could this be a sign?
It’s actually starting to get to me now and i’m feeling quite scared mostly for my son (who is 6 months old atm).
What are your views ? I’d love to hear from you as fear is starting to take over my habits

+Unfortuantely, the 2012 hoax has shaken up a lot of people unnecessarily. The driving force behind this hoax is primairly people who are looking to make a profit, looking to make themselves well-known or both. There is no scientific (or theological) evidence that points to a great catastrophe in 2012. Don’t be a victim of the hype. Hit the link below and hear an answer from an astrophysicist.

No….its not d end of d world….d same type of predictions were done before also……n they were completely proved wrong….so no need to worry…. Just enjoy ur life….such type of predictions r completely fake….so just chillll…
I’ve pretty much stopped answering 2012 quations because there is NO scientific evidence confirming that this is going to happen. NONE at all.

They happen every year, and have as long as there have been recorded statistics at about the same rate.
When you want to research scientific questions, you should read scientific websites rather than websites where people make up their science as they go along. The 2012 stuff is all nonsense, and much of it was recycled from earlier hoaxes, most recently 2003.
Although I recently found (by searching for “doomsday”) that there was a flurry of religious fanatics on Y!A who thought 6/06/06 had magical significance and that the world was about to end in 2006. They had plenty of “evidence” of exactly the same kind that you’re finding on the woo-woo sites about 2012. And the people pushing 2003 also were saying “there are floods and earthquakes” back then.

No, 2012 is a fake, people said the same about 2000 and 2001 and 2010 but yet I am still hear.
The 2012 doomsday predictions are unscientific nonsense. Floods and earthquakes have been happening for centuries without the world ending. People have been predicting the end of the world for a very long time, and they have ALWAYS been wrong, so consider the track record and stop worrying.

Can you remember ANYONE telling you that floods and earthquakes were going to happen before the 2012 doomsday? Did they say when? How many? Or did they just say “it will likely snow in Minneapolis in December 2012″? As we ALWAYS have floods and earthquakes, saying “We will have just as many floods and earthquakes as any other year” doesn’t sound very frightening. Does it?
What you need is a specific prediction. What will happen and when. If your “prophet” cannot do so accurately then he isn’t a “seer” he is just a con-man. Beware the “shotgun” method… “I forsee a natural disaster in May… or June. Possibly in July. Or in a month ending with “ber” There will be great loss of life from a fire… or a flood… or an earthquake… possibly a volcano.”
Yeah. Prophecy is for fifth graders.
