? I do not believe that the Battle of Armageddon will take place in 2012….I do however believe that we are indeed in what the scriptures call ” The Beginning of Sorrows” spoken by Jesus in Matthew Chapter 24…
Jesus said that when the fig tree sprouts forth then we know that summer is nigh and that this generation shall not pass away until all is fulfilled…
Israel is the fig tree, and she was reinstated as a country in May 1948….
In Hos 9:10 Israel is likened to a fig tree. As one of the signs of the end of the age and the time of his second presence, Jesus gave a parable concerning the fig tree. We quote, “When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh. So likewise ye, when ye see all these things, know that it [the messianic kingdom] is near, even at the doors.”- Mt 24:32, 33

I’m a 27-year-old female and I’m not religious. I believe that the year 2012 will probably be just like any other year because we have no good reason to believe otherwise.

I think it’s a pretty obvious hoax, but that people without fully developed critical thinking skills might fall for it because it’s scary. 31/male/atheist.
You could ask questions to see if they could tell the difference between open-mindedness and gullibility. Also the difference between skepticism and close-mindedness.

You could see what other common urban legends / conspiracy theories they believe. Like vaccines, 9/11, genetically modified crops.
And then some general knowledge, like if they could find countries X, Y, and Z on a map, or basic knowledge about them.
