Oh, no, wait, that wasn't the "real millenium", the world ended 12:01AM January 1, 2001. Oh, wait, I've got it - the world ended on 06/06/06. Or was it 07/07/07? See people attach significance to all sorts of random #s - the end of the world has been predicted since it began. But if we can't accurately predict something as (relatively) minor as an attack or natural disaster, how on earth would anyone come up with a definitive date for the end of the world?
