Why are Christians so concerned about 2012 and the Mayan calendar?
It’s based upon that “evil” astrology which your church forbids (and just happens to be the basis of our system of time itself,) and the Mayan’s were considered savage devil worshippers by the good Christians that came over here and murdered them in the name of Jesus. Is it because deep inside you know that the Church has been telling lies for 1700 years, and you realize that your very own bible is heavily based upon astrology?

  1. Christian101 says:

LOL Christians are NOT the one’s concerned…if anything they should be the ones arguing against it–our religion explains the contrary

    Stop insinuating lies

    Mark 13
32″No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33Be on guard! Be alert[f]! You do not know when that time will come. 34It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.

35″Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’ “

  3. Tim A says:

If you’re gullible enough to believe that the Bible is the inspired word of an all-knowing creator, you’re gullible enough to believe any old superstition.

  4. MEH! says:

    OH come on now!
CAN WE STOP THE 2012 BS IN HERE?

  5. Cee T says:

    I’m not

  6. Cool says:

Christians are dumb. Keep reading that bible, you idiots.

  7. Due in February! says:

I’m not. What are you even talking about?

  8. Linda J says:

    I must be missing something.

I’ve yet to meet any Christian who believes or even considers that prediction.

I have yet to hear any Christian on radio or TV talk seriously about this prediction.

  9. Old Man fron Scene 24 says:

Don’t forget in the first chapter of the Bible it says the stars were put there for signs to be used by people. Genesis 1:14

That ought to scare a few more fundies.

  10. Jordan A says:

there not….the bible clearly states that we wont know when only that a buttload of natural disasters and wars and all that will start happeining.

  11. BobApril says:

No – it is because many (not all, maybe not even most) Christians are looking forward to the Rapture – so any “evidence” that the end of the world is approaching is good news to them. They’re willing to ignore the contradictions involved in glorifying pagan sources, because it supports their personal goals of the moment.

Armageddon would solve everything, after all.

  12. Hank says:

Uh, it’s not the Christians that are worried at all about 2012, but rather the atheists. Hmm… I wonder why that is! God bless everyone!

  13. exk2080 says:

hahahah it’s not based on astrology? if you’re watching the history channel right now they’re talking about what MERLIN based his predictions on. go attack some joke religion like scientology, whose bible and beginnings are based on a sci-fi- novel

  14. SHARON Y says:

because fear fills up the churches, filled up churches make more money. Keep god personal, god is inside you and there is no reason to fear death. by the way you sound a little angry, let it go and be happy. If you dweel on it, you dwell in it.

  15. ACHE says:

No, i never knew anyone sho was taught that. That was something that happened hundreds of years ago that none of us can control now.

Also, i think its cool how the aztec and mayan calenders have been right about many things and its kind of just for fun to believe this, no ones really going to prepare for the end of the world or quit their jobs.

  16. Lakely says:

Yes, that may be it, but people who teach dark doctrines are bound to be unhappy, so they may just be wishing for a way out. More on my bio.
