Why does everyone seem preoccupied with North Korea and doomsday on here?
I am not a frequenter of Yahoo Answers but why does it seem that half of the questions are about how the world is going to end from North Korea. Do people really think such a tiny country with essentially no allies at this point is a major threat to one of the most stable nations in the world, much less the entire planet? What is everyone’s deal? Are people really this naive or is this some convoluted form of internet trolling?

You have to remember that there are a lot of young people on here that are very impressionable. They take what they hear in the media or from mom or dad and concoct this fantastic story in their head about doomsday and a third world war starting with North Korea.
You see this everytime a news story comes out about some country. The questions start pouring in about “will the US go to war with ____ country?” or “who would win in a fight between ____ and ____?”
Most do not have a good understanding of the world structure or just what all is going on with these countries. They cannot see the larger picture. North Korea is run by a small and very insane man, who despite numerous threats, continues to conduct his missle tests. It is really the same behavior you see in a child, where mom or dad tell them to stop doing something, so they just continue to do it just to make mom or dad mad.
