No calendar end, just have cycles, calendar keep record of time, not make predictions, frauds create elaborate hoax tell lies and make errors of Mayan calendar, it is obscure, so few people know anything of it, many frauds tell many lies make elaborate hoax, Jose Arguelles begin nonsense 1988 write book “The Mayan Factor”, real Mayan scholars say he is charlatan, he do crazy things, no reason accept his dates, I not see book, someone say he say 1999 is end of long cycle, now others say 12/21/12 or 12/23/12 is it, no reason accept frauds’ figures or predictions, they tell so many outrageous lies, any informed person know immediately is hoax.
I appreciate your appeal “to stop asking 2012 questions!” However I have a feeling they will continue and INCREASE as we get closer to the proposed date! So I will post my standard response—

To the ASKER– The 2012 hoax is more like FANTASY, and SUPERSTITION than SCIENCE!
Do you really believe that the 30,000+ amateur astronomers in the USA, and the hundreds of professional astronomers, would have just MISSED this! For example, no where on the internet are the sky coordinates of Planet X given. Just try to find them——– you will NOT find them anywhere. This PLANET X is a complete HOAX!— and does not exist anywhere in the sky.
AND——— 2012 web sites always site other sources that site NASA — never do they site NASA directly with a link— just read the sources they are never DIRECTLY NASA sources.
If you can give me the coordinates I will find this so-called planet X with the computer GOTO scope shown in my signature photo– or in the 16 inch GOTO scope that our Astronomy club owns. I don’t expect to ever hear from you with the proper coordinates.
And, no other Near Earth Objects are on a collision course with Earth right now or in the foreseeable future……………. aliens with death ray guns are NOT on the way— and a pole shift will occur in maybe another 10,000 years— no black hole is nearby to swallow the Earth or somehow (against all of Keplers planetary motion laws)- move it off it’s orbit, and a solar flare will NOT burn up the Earth………. and on and on with many more impossible astronomical events.
And, by the way, Mars WILL NOT BE as large as the moon later this year! This is another internet Hoax!

Every web site promoting the 2012 hoax is doing so for either FUN or MONEY! (although I don’t think it’s very funny to scare kids or the uneducated). So please forget about this 2012 stuff—
The 2012 HOAX is just a fictional story……………….that happens to be all over the internet.

The mayans ran out of paper
yeah if the calendar ends that doesn’t mean that the world will end.
1) I must agree with yo yo yo.
2) The Mayna calendar does NOT end. There are Maya writings that describe an event (on Earth, involving humans) that should take place well after the year we call 4000. They use their calendar to give the date.
Obviously, they expected neither the world nor their calendar to end.
The Big 2012 Hoax is not connected to the 06-06-06 hoax. It is connected to the June 2003 hoax (Planet X, tsunami, etc.).
The Mayan Long Count calendar clicks over from 12.19.19.17.19 to 13.0.0.0.0 on 21st December 2012. That’s all there is to it. The Mayans themselves never predicted the end of the world would happen at that time.
All the doomsday predictions attached to this date are, without exception, unscientific nonsense, perpetrated by frauds and hoaxers.
