Did Nibiru have anything to do with the Moon?
They say that a large body hit Earth billions of years ago which formed the moon. Did Nibiru have anything at all to do with this?
Answer by Tom A
You can call that body “Nibiru” if you want. In fact you can call it anything you like. The scientific community has chosen to call it Thea.
If you mean the rubbish you’ve heard about 2012, THAT Nibiru does’t exist.
Give your answer to this question below!

No. Imaginary bullshit planets cannot form moons.
The Mars-sized planetoid which struck the Earth to create the Moon was completely destroyed upon impact. The heavier core material fell to Earth and was accreted into Earth’s mass. The lighter crust material joined Earth’s crust to form the Moon. This is why the structure of the Moon is unlike Earth. Normally, two objects forming in the same orbital path would have a similar ratio of elements. This provides evidence to support the Giant Impact theory.
Nibiru is a fictional planet. The ancient Sumerian tablets referred Nibiru as the planet Jupiter. In 1975, the text could not be completely translated by scholars. Zecharia Sitchin attempted to translate the text anyway. He was not qualified to do this. He ended up making numerous errors not only in the translation of the tablet writing, but he went further to create fanciful stories about the planet and the persons who live on it.
This was a period in history when Erik VonDaniken was writing his popular ancient astronauts books.
Sitchin was unemployed and decided he wanted to make some money this way. Anything which Sitchin could not explain (even down to simple farming techniques) was done by alien intervention.
Today, the Sumerian alphabet system is not only completely translatable, but the tablets are available to the public to read for themselves. A book with the complete translation was printed in 2006. There is not one scientist nor scholar nor historian who agrees with Sitchin’s fanciful lies. Sitchin has been exposed as a fraud. He is now in his 80s and refuses to recant his books even when the truth disproves his lies and shows how much of Sitchin’s book material is untrue.
Nibiru as some mystery planet does not exist and never has existed other than as Jupiter. Do not allow yourself to believe in this hoax.
Anytime you need to begin a question with ‘They say….’,you must question the validity of your source. Sitchin is a proven fraud who deceives the gullable to make money from his fictitious books. While Sitchin was once respected by his peers, he has chosen the path to be remembered in history as a demented fool who put bread on his table by taking advantage of the uneducated who will believe in anything as some type of cult group who refuse to acknowledge the true translation of Sumerian text.
For some less educated persons, it is fun to think that the world is filled with magic and mystery. There will always be a small band who will hold out to spot the fictious planet. Don’t be one of them.
No.
Nibiru is the name that the ancient Sumerians associated with either a planet (either Jupiter or Mercury, depending on the passage) or a star (not a planet) or a deity called Marduk.
Nibiru has nothing to do with the moon.
Zecheriah Sitchin’s imagination does not effect the laws that govern the universe. No matter how hard “12th Planet” readers want it to.
