planet x, does any body know anything about this…?
i recently heard a show on the radio about planet x heading back this way on its orbit. and that it will cause the earth to switch poles. are we done for? is this really true.

Yes, I know about Planet X. A nobel laureate astronomer named Luis Alvarez proposed the possibility of a larg planet orbiting the sun on a very long term orbit. He felt this might explain periodic extinctions, probably due to an excessive rain of comets which were gravitationally diverted by this planet, into the inner solar system.
Much more research has been done. For at least three reasons that I know, the hypothesis fails. There is no evidence of any major planets, brown dwarfs, stars, or anything of that nature orbiting the sun. We have learned a lot about the structure and dynamics of the solar system in the last 30 years. Such a planet does not exist.

Since there is absolutely no scientific evidence or proof that Planet X exists, there is no information on it. Other than conjecture, crackpot theories, and unscientific “proofs”.
Anybody can get on the radio (or the internet) and utter the most outlandish theories without having to back them up with facts.There is no such object, and there is no known mechanism by which such an object could affect the Earth’s poles.
