In the 1800's in west Texas a rancher reported seeing lights out in the middle of the desert and thought it might have been some Apaches making a fire. He went out to investigate who or what that lights were but there was nothing out there. Even today the TV show "Unsolved mysteries" has sent reporters to that area and still they don't know what is causing the lights out in the desert. You can see them on youtube known worldwide as the Marfa Lights. So yes there are some things that defy explanation and I can believe such things exist.
