Is it a coincidence that UFO sighting phenomena only really existed since the invention of mechanical flight?
Before airplanes it was sea monsters of the deep when sea travel was the major global transport.

Heh that’s a big misconception, UFO sightings have been around longer than any mechanical flights, even murals and paintings from the early 2nd millenia show strange flying objects and lights.
People have always mistaken weird cloud formations or aurea borealis sightings for outworldy things.

Yeah that would be a coincidence. A lot of UFO sightings are naturally occurring things such as seeing the planet Venus or sundogs and other things like that. Some UFOs might be aeroplanes etc. but I think most people know what they look like these days and can tell the difference.
Its probably true to say the frequency of UFO sightings has increased since the invention of mechanical flight – and even more so since the invention of space flight.
One of the most common sources of mistaken UFO reports is the planet Venus, and that has been around for as long as the Earth has. Very bright meteors and fireballs have also been reported as potential UFOs; especially those which produce a thunderlike boom as they enter and vapourise in the upper atmosphere. Understandably the rare but quite natural occurence of ball lightning has also led to reports of UFOs.
As the previous response to this question has indicated, UFO sightings go back far longer than the invention of mechanical flight.
So you’ve decided that all of the bible and all other sources of UFO sightings prior to the invention of aircraft don’t exist?
I still remember a song about a biblical character called Ezekiel. Part of it went like this
“Ezekiel saw a wheel a rollin’ way up in the middle of the air.
A wheel within a wheel a rollin; way up in the middle of the air.” The verses in the bible are not quite so musical but they were written a VERY long time before human flight.
What about 04-14-1561 Nuremberg. A complete battle lasting over one hour and including fire smoke and downed cigar shaped flying craft. There is even a painting that was done to show the event.
I won’t go through any more at present. There are a fair number and they go back way BC no just over the last 100 years.
no UFO sighting phenomena hav been historically happening one,it has been found in the cave paintings,rock scuptures,etc.the important matter is that a group of think that ufos and aliens hav been visiting us for thousands of years and it is said that they were worshipped as gods by the people.

Not a coincidence at all. the majority of UFO sightings were U.S. Air force and Russia aircraft.
Especially in the 1950′s and 1960′s.
The U.S. Air Force U2 Spy Plane caused more UFO sightings that any other aircraft.
Actually, that may not be a true statement.
there are paintings from Medieval Times (1100-1400) that SEEM to show both UFOs and Space Men (humanoids wearing special suits and helmets).
You can find them (or copies) in many art museums. Go find some and see them for yourself. See if YOU believe that those guys 700-1000 years ago were seeing “flying saucers”.
For that matter, there are many theologians that believe that the Book of Ezekiel in the Bible describes a possible “alien invasion”. [Personally, I think the vision was of a time closer to our own, describing modern warfare using tanks, helicopters, and rockets.]. read it, and judge for yourself, But the Book of Ezekiel is more than 2500 years old!
