This is an amazing cover by the way, Visage and Fields both did great in their own way. I love the goth sound Visage had for it, but I love what Fields has done with it, simply beautiful and amazing!

How can anyone NOT like this cover? Seriously, I saw 17 people disliked it. THIS is how you do a cover. They kept the spirit of the original, but made it into a 9-minute plus epic that is truly their own! Very haunting, very well done, these guys are awesome plain and simple. I am definitely going to be looking for this on CD even if it takes me a long time to do it.
Ha ha, now THIS is an awesome cover! Great, heavy-metal type goodness with just the right amount of ambiance to really bring this into full effect. I actually like the fact that the song has this great instrumental after the lyrics come to an end. Simply put, Fields of the Nephilim did wonderful, I am definitely going to check out more of their shit now. Thanks for putting this up!

@fgoodroe I’m 43 and remember the original version as my older sister had it and I loved it. She was always coming into my room saying, did you nick my 2525 record again? Lol. There was never any doubt that this cover would do justice. Fields Of The Nephilim are amazing. I love them just as much today as I did when I first heard them 20 odd years ago.

carl mccoy is 47, and this band started in the early 80s.
When I saw this song, I thought “Oh no! These kids did NOT disgrace this song! Please don’t tell me they destroyed it!” I listened and I am surprisingly shocked! You did not only NOT screw this up, but it kept my attention and I was glued to the screen! I remember when this song first came out by Zager and Evans. Okay kiddie winkles! This old fart is nifty fifty plus 2 more! I LOVED this! Way to go! You did this well!
