Maybe if you knew anything about history you would have considered the Thirty Years War in Europe before making such a ridiculous comment. But attempting to educate and inform someone like yourself, who is steeped in misinformation, is the equivalent to opening the eyes of the blind from birth – in other words it would take a near miraculous event. It is amazing how someone so blind believes they see so clearly!

You sound very young, angry and uptight. Book a holiday or take some pills, you need to lighten up a little. If anyone has a good relationship with God, you will find that they speak in a kindly, concerned way, showing genuine love to others. It is not normal behaviour for a godly person to call others ignorant, brainwashed or blind .

Don’t assume that I am unaware of the 30 Year War just because I mentioned the Inquisition instead. I studied historyat Advanced Level until I was 18 years old. I am no stranger to religious wars. However, you have missed the point, Jesus did not tell anyone to murder in his name! These people are not Christians, not one and unless they repented of their sins, not one of them will be saved on the Day of Judgment. The Bible says so.

YOU have missed the point. The point is, you keep quoting a book you yourself don’t – AND WON’T – live by. That is the rankest form of a HYPOCRITE there is! Whatever validity 1st century Christianity may have had at one time has been lost throughout the subsequent generations by PEOPLE LIKE YOU!

PS. I am reasonably proud of my history A level and you have no reason to sneer at it.

No you have it all wrong. What Christians try very hard to do, is to spread the gospel, share with others the good news. That is what the Bible tells us to do. We are instructed to tell others what the scriptures say. The Bible actually tells us that God will hold us responsible on the final day, if we have not at least tried to tell others that they can receive salvation through Jesus Christ. continued

You say you are superior in me to knowledge. You seem to know a whole lot about someone you have never met. Your knowledge is not superior to mine, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ. That is the only knowledge that really matters. Anyone who does not ‘know’ Jesus has the wisdom of the world and the Bible tells us clearly that the wisest of men will appear foolish before God.

My friend, don’t be angry. I have genuine regard for you. I respect you, whoever you are and would love to see you in the resurrection. I just try and preach the gospel, where possible. I am happy with my education, I left school with UK A levels and married a barrister. My youngest daughter is at university in the UK and I know all about the religious wars. There are genuine Christians around, who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and they would not harm anyone.

@sally123lilac Yes, angry! But my anger nowhere compares to the anger of the God of the Bible. I am not only angered, but sickened, by the idea that ANY HUMAN BEING believes they have the right to judge another person’s relationship with God, just because they hold some book in their hand. A book that they don’t really understand, or know its source – they just think they do! Did you know that much of the New Testament is a forgery? A fact agreed to by 99% of all N.T. scholars for 200 years!

True Christians believe that the Bible is in the inerrant word of God, written by man, but inspired by the Holy Spirit. We also believe that no one is saved, unless they have accepted Jesus. We don’t believe that because we have a desire 2 be difficult or judgmental, we believe it because the Bible tells us so. The Bible states that you can tell if a person is a Christian – you have to look at their ‘fruits’.

The New Testament is not a forgery and 99% per cent of New Testament scholars have not been saying so, for the last 200 years. I have no idea where you are obtaining this information from.

You tell others they need salvation but refuse to provide any basis for your belief that YOU have the right to make that statement to others. You fail to explain why you refuse to submit yourself to the same authority you claim others must submit themselves to. You fail to provide your credentials to even understand the Bible. WHY IS THAT?

Please do not pity me, I am a fortunate woman, I have eternal life. I am not sure why you believe that I need credentials to understand the Bible. I study the Bible constantly, particularly prophecy, not only end times prophecy but also what the Bible has to say about Israel. I don’t need a doctorate in divinity or theology to do this. At my Church in London, there are many professional people. We have a number of doctors, a lawyer, a scientist and many teachers. cont.

We also have semi skilled people and manual workers. Everybody studies the Bible and there is not one Church member who believes that he (or she) is better qualifed than any other to read the scriptures. We are all equal God’s eyes.

Yes, I tell others that they need to be saved. I point to the scriptures for the basis of my belief. However, the Bible is clear that not all will be saved + that the gospel sounds like foolishness 2 those who are perishing. The Bible tells us that God decides who will be saved + who will not. A believer must receive revelation frm God in order to be saved. This revelation is not dependent on a person’s intellect + people with learning difficulties can understand.

YOU have absolutely no authority whatsoever to tell another human being that they need salvation, because you have no idea what their relationship is with the Lord, nor do you yourself KNOW what God requires of ME to be saved! All you have is a very ambiguous book, called the Bible, and a very flawed indoctrination into what this book says or means. You have no OBJECTIVE AUTHORITY upon which to base your conclusions. Everybody needs salvation and I really do know what God requires of you to be saved, because it is all laid down in the best selling book of all time, the Bible – a book that you obviously don’t believe in. The Bible itself tells us that not everyone will understand the scriptures, or accept them as the word of God. Maybe, you are just one of those people. Please look at the Bible more carefully though, the Bible warns what will happen to those who disbelieve.
