That quote from 1969 from popular science magazine is typical of the hundreds of photos , films and media references to the common sky spanning and cloud forming jet contrails of the time. Nowdays there are VASTLY more planes in the sky and far more flight routes. meaning not only are horizon spanning and flightpath intersecting contrails more common, but EACH of the 80,000 airliners PER DAY release about 6 to 8 TONS of WATER per hour, making the sky more humid and contrails more likely to form.

Contrails can last for HOURS for the exact same reason ANY cloud can last for hours. Contrails are WATER.
Clouds are WATER. If a collection of water can last for HOURS in the form of a cloud it can last just as long as a contrail.
In the 1960s a large proportion of the cloud cover over the united states originated as jet contrails

In other words, so many of the people who believe in “chemtrails” say that the trails can’t be normal and they didn’t occur in the past because they personally have no memory of them!
Yet those very same people were not even aware of the numerous trails directly above their own heads until someone else had to point out the trails to them!, either in person or from reading.
So using the claim, “I never remember them in the past so they must be new” just proves them to be morons.

What an extremely important point you make! SO MANY chemtrail believers only started believing in chemtrails when the trails in the sky were pointed out to them They simply never paid attention and NEVER noticed them before. Even the people who pointed them out may have noticed them for a few years since they were first pointed out to THEM.
The hilarious irony is that chemtrail believers use their lack of memory of trails in the past as “evidence” they didn’t exist in the past!

I Considering how they cannot even discern a significant human contribution to climate change, it’s amazing that they claim contrails were contributing to global warming. Sure water vapour is a much bigger factor than CO2 climate-wise but it would cool the planet rather than heat it, due to albedo effect. Man made global warming is proven to be a scam with ZERO science supporting it.
PS: Her remarks re questioning weather bureau & learning such flights (such as one she was watching overhead at that moment) and related trails & cloud formation are visible from satellite are fascinating, yet local weather will report such haze & cloud cover as a new weather ‘front’. If weather people were required to use term ‘man made…’ or ‘artificial weather pattern’ or similar for such weather changes, the news viewing population would quickly become engaged & question what is happening.
